What we collect

To fulfil an order we collect your name, email address, phone number and shipping address. That’s it — we do not collect or store payment card details.

Why we collect it

• To ship your order and keep you updated on it
• To confirm cash-on-delivery orders before dispatch
• To respond when you contact us

Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to get your parcel to you: our courier partner, our email provider (Resend) and our database provider (Supabase). We never sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Cookies

We use your browser’s local storage to remember what’s in your cart. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us until you place an order.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Email hey@theunnecessary.co and we’ll action it within 30 days.

Retention

Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, then deleted.
